Important:
Best Products to Use:
1. Mild, Non-Ammonia Glass Cleaners:
Products like Windex Ammonia-Free, Sprayway Glass Cleaner (Ammonia-Free), or similar. Ensure the cleaner is specifically labeled as “non-abrasive” and “ammonia-free.”
2. Mild Dish Soap Solution:
Mix a small amount of dish soap (like Dawn or similar) with distilled water. This is an excellent DIY cleaner for removing smudges and light dirt.
3. Isopropyl Alcohol (Diluted):
Use a diluted solution of isopropyl alcohol (70% or less) mixed with distilled water. Ideal for removing stubborn fingerprints or grease.
4. Microfiber Cloths:
Always use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth for cleaning to prevent scratches.
5. Distilled Water:
Use distilled water alone for light cleaning to avoid mineral deposits from tap water.
Products and Tools to Avoid:
1. Ammonia-Based Cleaners:
Products like traditional Windex or generic window cleaners containing ammonia can degrade the PDLC film and its adhesive layer over time.
2. Abrasive Cleaners:
Avoid powders, creams, or scrubbing agents as they can scratch the surface or damage the film’s coating.
3. Vinegar or Acidic Solutions:
Acidic cleaners can break down the film’s protective coating, leading to discoloration or reduced performance.
4. Alcohol Over 70%:
High concentrations of alcohol can be too harsh and damage the film.
5. Harsh Chemical Solvents:
Avoid acetone, benzene, or other industrial solvents as they can dissolve or damage the film’s surface.
6. Rough Cleaning Tools:
Do not use scouring pads, paper towels, or anything with a coarse texture that can scratch or abrade the film.
7. High-Pressure Water Jets:
Avoid power washers or any cleaning method that applies excessive pressure, which can damage the film’s structure or adhesive layer.
Electrical and Operational Guidelines

Power Supply:
-
Ensure the power supply to the smart film is stable and within the recommended voltage range specified in the user manual.

Do not excessively toggle the film on and off, as this may reduce its lifespan.
-
Allow a minimum of 5 seconds between switching states.

-
Environment:
-
-
Keep the film away from extreme temperatures and high humidity to prevent performance issues.
-
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight if not designed for outdoor use.
-
